Programmes and courses

Although the official teaching language of our University is Greek, from the academic year 2008/2009 onwards, all our faculties -in order to facilitate the Erasmus mobility-, offer to incoming Erasmus students, courses taught in English.

As an Erasmus student at the University of Macedonia, you will study together with Greeks and exchange students from all over Europe. In addition, you will be living in a city that has all the benefits of a capital.

No formal proof of language competence is currently required. However, students taking courses in English should have a proficient knowledge of both written and spoken English.

Changes in the course list may occur. The University reserves the right to cancel any courses due to unforeseen circumstances. Courses will be provided upon request.

The courses you have chosen may be organised as lectures, seminars, tutorials and projects. Teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, seminars and casework. At the beginning of a semester your course tutor will provide you with a course description giving you the general framework of the course and the list of recommended or required reading.

Each course in the catalogue is assigned with the ECTS credits.
The normal workload for a semester is 30 ECTS credits.
It is important that you consult with your department Erasmus coordinator prior to course selection.

The following course catalogue will give you detailed information about each course, when it is taught, the syllabus, form of examination, etc.

All programmes and courses presented here are conducted in English (unless otherwise stated) for both Greek and exchange students.
